Environment friendly grease & lubricants

 
The Ministry of Petroleum Industries has introduced environment friendly grease and lubricants with the aim of preventing environmental pollution.

This will lessen vehicle engines from releasing harmful gases to the environment. It will also help reduce petrol waste.

It is significant that these products have even exceeded the required standard set by the Public Utility Commission. The Commission has set these standards according to the American Petroleum Institute.

The Petroleum Ministry states that there is a high demand for these new products. The Sri Lanka Petroleum Corporation has obtained 12% of the market for grease and lubricants. It earns Rs.100 million solely from selling grease.

This new grease and lubricant can be purchased only from the delivering centres of the Petroleum Corporation.
