2011 Cricket World Cup in Kheththarama

 
Construction and renovation work of the Kheththarama International Cricket Ground is speedily carried out by the Ministry of Construction, Engineering Services, Housing & Common Amenities, to facilitate the 2011 Cricket World Cup.

“Several matches of the series of 2011 Cricket World Cup will be held in this ground. According to the State Engineering Corporation of Sri Lanka, the constructions of the ground will be completed in due time. The Minister of Construction, Engineering Services, Housing & Common Amenities, Wimal Weeravansa visited the ground for inspection.

Chairman of the Engineering Corporation said that the construction of the Kheththarama Ground has been completed up to 60% by now and will be completed by December this year. The completion of the construction of the Pallekele Cricket ground is also nearing completion, he said.
