The government is planning to launch a 'Job - Fair' for the youth in the north especially for ex-LTTE combatants who are being integrated back into society following their rehabilitation. 'Job - Fair' is to be held in Vavuniya on September 25, 26th and 27th, the Ministry of Defence said.
"This would be something similar to the Job-Fair held before graduation in the USA offering employment to youth following their graduation" Commissioner General of Rehabilitation Brigadier Sudantha Ranasinghe said yesterday.
The Brigadier urged more business enterprises to participate in this humanitarian exercise which also provided them with an excellent opportunity to fulfil their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
More than 4000 ex-LTTE combatants have been rehabilitated so far.
