Two hundred and seventy nine (279) families who were displaced due to terror activities in Santhapuram have begun resettlement in their places of origin since last Saturday (Sep 11). They have been given clearance to resettle in their places of origin as a result of the completion of de-mining in the area, the Ministry of Defence reported.
Many have received fishing boats as livelihood support under the "Northern Spring" project. Apart from that the government is taking measures to uplift the living standards of these families.
