Russia has expressed deep sorrow over the accidental explosion in Karadiyanary in the Eastern Province causing many casualties.

In a condolence message to President Mahinda Rajapaksa, Russian President Dmitry A Medvedev, expressed deep sorrow over the accident. “I also ask you to convey words of sympathy to the families of those killed and wishes of soon recovery to the injured,” President Medvedev said in his message.
