More industrial villages open

 
Another two industrial villages in Hambantota District were opened by the Ministry of Traditional Industries and Small Enterprise Development, under the project to build 1000 small industrial villages under the directive of President Mahinda Rajapaksa.

Accordingly, a coconut mill was established at Seeni Modara, Tangalle and a factory for Kithul related production was established in Uda-alibodeniya, Hambantota District.

The project aims to develop the small and medium scale entrepreneurs and bring them to a national level and compete in international markets while boosting the livelihoods of the people.
