President participating in a function held at the Presidential Secretariat yesterday to distribute fire-fighting vehicles and fumigation machines to risk management centres and Local Government institutions said people have a strong belief in the Government and all Local Government members and officers should devote to discharge their duties for the benefit of the motherland in keeping with the people's belief.

The President emphasized the need of fulfilling people's needs with proper understanding. He said Local Government Institutions should perform the mediators' task in taking benefits of the government development programs to the villages.
