Lanka’s cricket grounds to facilitate World Cup 2011

 

The construction works of the Pallekele and Hambantota cricket grounds are being expedited to facilitate the world cup cricket match 2011.

The Keththarama ground also being repaired to meet the superiority to facilitate the world cup match by the Engineering Corporation which is under the Ministry of Construction, Engineering Services, Housing & Common Amenities.

Constructions are being done to facilitate 24, 000 visitors at the same time at the ground which is constructed according to the structure of the Centurian Park Playground in South Africa.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) is due to make an inspection visit to the grounds this month while Sri Lanka Cricket Board has satisfied with the facilities for the World Cup matches to be held in these grounds.
