President's birthday, today

 
President Mahinda Rajapaksa marks the 65th birthday today (18 Nov) and has received greetings from well-wishes in Sri Lanka and around the world.

Special ceremonies were held throughout the week in the country and elsewhere to mark his birthday and his swearing in of the second term of office tomorrow (19 Nov).
