Foreign Navy vessels arrive for SLN Anniversary

 

Naval vessels of the participating Navies for the International Fleet Review and Presidential Sail Past have arrived at the port of Colombo.

The eight naval ships from Bangladesh, China, Iran, India, Pakistan, Russia and Thailand Navies were ceremonially welcomed upon their arrival at the Colombo harbour.

The Presidential Fleet Review and International Sail Past held in view of the Sri Lanka Navy’s 60th anniversary will be held on 09th and 11th of December 2010 in the seas off Galle face.

Meanwhile, Chinese missile destroyer Lanzhou arrived at Colombo port yesterday for a five-day visit in the country, reported Xinhua.

The destroyer Lanzhou, just ending a five-month escort task in the Gulf of Aden and Somali waters, would attend the celebrations for the anniversary.
