Gama Neguma to complete over 2000 projects

 
Another 2137 Gama Neguma Projects carried out in Anuradhapura district by the Economic Development Ministry are due to be completed before the end of this month.

Accordingly, 2088 development projects are carried out in 702 Grama Seva Divisions in Anuradhapura district. Fifty percent of the work of these projects has already been completed while the rest of the work is due to be completed before the 31st of this month. The Government has allocated Rs.834 million for these projects.

The programmes include projects on concreting rural roads, providing drinking water, irrigation and buildings.

In addition, under the same programme, 49 projects costing Rs.29 million for reconstructing rural tanks in the district have been completed.

The Gama Neguma Programme initiated under the 'Mahinda Chintana' will develop rural areas completed with all facilities.
