UK partners are keen to support Sri Lankan government aims to establish Sri Lanka as an education hub for the South Asian region, said Tony Reilly, Country Director of the British Council.
He made these observations at the ‘UK-Sri Lanka Education Partnerships’ event held at the British High Commission in Colombo.
The event was attended by over 50 of Sri Lanka’s top Further and Higher Educational institutions.
Janet Ford, Head – UK Trade and Investment (UKTI) added that UKTI supports UK universities and colleges wishing to link up Sri Lankan private colleges and vocational training Institutions.
