Agro-industry knowledge to Jaffna farmers

A group of farmers, selected from remote agricultural areas in Jaffna were facilitated by the Army to follow a one-month long in residence training course on ‘Dairy Management’, conducted by Seeppukulama Agriculture Training Centre in Anuradhapura.

This was organized by Security Forces Headquarters, Jaffna, to promote livelihood of Jaffna civilians. Under this the Jaffna farmers shared their knowledge with 27 more farmers who followed the same course at Anuradhapura.

It was the first opportunity of this kind for them away from Jaffna, though many such openings were earlier available to them before LTTE terrorism took root in the peninsula.
