More scholarship opportunities for students

 

Action has been taken to bring scholarship opportunities to Sri Lankan students at Nanyang University Singapore, a well known Asian university for Management.

An agreement was signed between the Ministry of Higher Education and Singapore’s Nanyang University representatives yesterday (23) to grant scholarship opportunities to Sri Lankan student.

Accordingly, postgraduate degrees in Management will be offered to Sri Lankan students covering half of the tuition fees.

In addition, the Ministry will facilitate students from Nanyang University to study for the first part of their postgraduate degree in Management at Universities of Colombo and Sri Jayawardena. The students then will return to the Nanyang University to complete the second part of their degree.

Further, 150 Presidential scholarships will be offered to international students to study in Sri Lankan universities next year, with the aim of making Sri Lanka the hub of knowledge. Under this, full scholarships for degrees of management, law, engineering, arts, medicine, dental and veterinary fields will be offered to international students.
