The company said that it was consolidating its global marketing network through opening self-operated offices and regional warehouses in different parts of the world. QAPCO's Global Marketing Network comprises 28 self-operated offices and six regional warehouses.

A release from the company said that “in pursuit of its objective to be recognised as one of leading international petrochemical suppliers, QAPCO has been determined to structure one of the most competent Global Marketing Network established by any petrochemical supplier to complement and support QAPCO's ambitious expansion plans.”

Mr Mohammed Yousef Al-Mulla, General Manager and Board Director of QAPCO, inaugurated the representative office.

He said that the inauguration of QAPCO's Sri Lanka office is a continuation of the company's quest to preserve its positioning as the leading exporter of LDPE (low-density polyethylene) in the West Asia and to translate the strategic importance of the Sri Lankan market to QAPCO.

Dr Al Mulla said that QAPCO's products of LDPE are sold to over 4,500 customers spread over 85 countries worldwide.
