Jaffna Teaching Hospital renovations begin |

A project funded by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) to renovate the Jaffna Teaching Hospital was launched today (Jan. 21).
Under this, operation theatres, several Intensive Care Units, central laboratory, units for central supply and sterilizing will be constructed in a three storage building.
The project which costs Rs.2877 milion (2,298 million Japanese Yen) is aimed to be completed in 11 months.
Health Minister Maithreepala Sirisena, Japanese Ambassador Mr. Kunio Takahashi, Jaffna GA Mrs. Emelda Sukumar participated at the launch of the project.
