Keyin College, a Newfoundland-based school in Canada is set to open a campus in Sri Lanka at the end of January.
Keyin College President Des Whelan said the campus will teach Canadian-certified tourism courses in Sri Lanka.
Keyin was founded in Newfoundland and Labrador, but the teachers being sent to Sri Lanka come from other parts of Canada, stated CBC news.
"It's really tough to find certified tourism folks right now so we have two people from Ontario and a person from Nova Scotia who'll be teaching for us," said Whelan.
He said the college will focus on providing hospitality and tourism courses at first, but it hopes to offer more programs in the future.
