Keththarama & Pallekele ready for CWC |

The construction works of the Keththarama and Pallekele cricket grounds have been completed to facilitate the Cricket World Cup 2011.
Accordingly, the Keththarama ground was upgraded for approximately 30, 000 spectators. Earlier it facilitated only 10, 000 spectators. After the reconstruction, the Pallekele ground now has the facility to accommodate 25, 000 spectators.
The reconstruction works were carried out under the supervision of Sri Lanka Engineering Corporation which is under the Ministry of Construction, Engineering Services, Housing & Common Amenities. The Engineer Service Regiment of Sri Lanka Army also committed their support to the construction works.
According to the sources from the Engineering Corporation, these two grounds will be handed over to the Cricket Board this week.
