Handicraft creations by ex- LTTE cadres housed in rehabilitation centers are to be exhibited at the Deyata Kirula exhibition in Buttala.

There are 4500 former LTTE cadres in Protective Accommodation and Rehabilitation Centers (PARCs) under the Ministry of Rehabilitations and Prison Reforms, Rehabilitation Commissioner General, Brigadier Sudantha Ranasinghe said.

They are given training in masonry, carpentry and other life skills.

Following rehabilitation 5,586 LTTE cadres out of the 11,696 detained after the war have been integrated into the normal civilian life after giving them various types of vocational training and school education during their detention in rehabilitation centers.
