The Bank of Tokyo-Mitzubishi will open a branch in Sri Lanka.

Senior Deputy Central Bank Governor Dharma Deerasinghe said that Japan has begun preliminary discussions regarding the setting up of the Bank branch.

A team of representatives from the Bank of Tokyo Mitzubishi are due to arrive in Sri Lanka shortly to conduct preliminary arrangements.

The Bank of Tokyo-Mitzubishi is one of the major banks of Japan which was established in year 1919. The network of the Bank is spread in 672 branches within Japan and 113 offices around the world.
