The period of schooling is the most precious time in a person’s life and this cannot be retrieved. Therefore, use this period to improve skills in sports and aesthetics in addition to focusing on the curriculum, stated President Mahinda Rajapaksa opening the Swimming, Life Saving and Survival Techniques Training Centre at Dharmapala Vidyalaya, Pannipitiya today (28).
Use this time wisely to be successful in the future, he instructed.
President said that this centre can be used for training if Sri Lanka is selected to be the host of the Commonwealth Games 2018.
President also said that knowledge can never be robbed and will remain when everything else is lost.
He added if people do not love the country, knowledge alone would not be useful. The country will look after the person who loves it, he said.
