SriLankan daily flights to Kochi

SriLankan Airlines is planning to start a daily service to India’s Kochi and also expand its services to several capital cities mainly covering the Middle Eastern region.

Accordingly, plans are underway to increase its services to cities such as Karachi, Bahrain, Doha and Muscat starting from March, reported news360.lk.

The Airline says it will operate direct non stop flights to Bahrain, Doha and Muscat. Currently flights to those 3 destinations are linked to each other.

Daily flights to Kochi are scheduled to commence on the 27th of March thus increasing the SriLankan flights to India up to 63 per week.

The National carrier is also looking to add a fifth frequency to Pakistan’s largest city Karachi.

The Airline announced that seven more aircraft would be acquired in 2011 in addition to the 3 flights it took delivery during the second half of 2010.
