60% postal votes cast

 
60 per cent of the total eligible postal voters have cast their votes for the Local Governments Elections by noon yesterday (Mar.08), election monitors said.

Casting of postal votes commenced yesterday morning and will continue until this evening.

According to the Election Secretariat, over 250,000 public servants are eligible for the postal voting.
