Kilinochchi, Mullative tank renovations begin

 
A programme to renovate tanks in the Karachchi – Uruthirapuram of Kilinochchi District was launched today (March 11), under the project to renovate 2000 tanks damaged and destroyed by the recent floods.

This also included the programme of providing employment opportunities for the people of the area to engage in the renovation work on a remunerative employment basis, and commence harvesting season in Kilinochchi.

A similar programme for renovation of tanks and roads will be launched in the Mullative District today at 2.30 p.m. near the Oddusuddan tank.

The project is carried out by the Ministry of Economic Development.
