Construction, Engineering Services, Housing & Common Amenities Ministry has taken action to provide houses to 10,210 low-income families under the ‘Sasunen Sevana’ programme which was implemented under the ‘Jana Sevana’ project to build 1 million houses island wide.
This will be commenced on 19th in Mount Temple village, Gampola, with the participation of Prime Minister D. M. Jayaratne and the Minister of Construction, Engineering Services, Housing & Common Amenities Wimal Weerawansa.
Celebrating 2600th Sambuddhatva Jayanthi, low-income families will be selected by 10,210 temples island wide. Construction of houses will be carried out by the National Housing Development Authority.
In addition, the Ministry will also reconstruct 300 monasteries in the temples in remote areas of the country.
