With Sri Lanka's entry into the World Cup final, a large number of Sri Lankans are reportedly planning to watch the final match that is to be played on 2 April 2011 at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

SriLankan Airlines usually flies two flights a day to Mumbai. The Minister said that the capacity of these flights would be increased on demand.

A large number of foreigners, especially from countries like England, Pakistan, and India visited Sri Lanka during the World Cup matches, the Minister stated.

Sri Lanka hosted the last 2011 World Cup match yesterday at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo when Sri Lanka played against New Zealand in the first semi-final match.
