The Government has allocated 6.5 million rupees for the immediate reconstruction of three agricultural tanks in the Batticaloa district.

Accordingly, 4 millions rupees was allocated for the rehabilitation of Anaisudda Kaddu Karamunai pond of Northern Koralai Pattru, 1.5 million rupees for the rehabilitation of Manthchalai pond of western Koralaipattu, and one million rupees for the rehabilitation of Palaikaddu pond of central Koralaipattu.

The reconstruction works will be carried out under the direction of Water Supply and Drainage Ministry.
