President appoints four key Commissions
 

 

President Mahinda Rajapaksa has appointed four Commissions under Article 41 A of the Constitution of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka with effect from May 16, 2011.

These Commissions are the Public Service Commission, the Human Rights Commission of Sri Lanka, the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery and Corruption and the Finance Commission.

The Commissions comprised:

Public Service Commission

Palitha M. Kumarasinghe – Member
Ms. Sirimavo A. Wijeratne – Member
Mr. S. C. Mannapperuma – Member
Mr. Ananda Seneviratne – Member
Mr. N. H. Pathirana- Member
Mr. S. Thillanadarajah – Member
Mr. M. D. W. Ariyawansa – Member
Mr. A. Mohamed Nahiya – Member

Human Rights Commission of Sri Lanka

Justice Priyantha R. P. Perera – Chairman
Ms. Jezima Ismail - Member
Mr. T. E. Anandarajah - Member
Dr. Bernard de Zoysa - Member
Mr. Ananda Mendis – Member

Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery and Corruption

Justice D. J. de Balapatabendi – Chairman
Justice L. K. Wimalachandra – Member
Mr. Jayantha Wickremaratne – Member

Finance Commission
Mr. Ariyaratne Hewage – Chairman
Mr. M. N. Junaid – Member
