The 50th session of the Asian African Legal Consultative Organization (AALCO) will be held in Sri Lanka from June 27 to July 1.
President Mahinda Rajapaksa is scheduled to deliver the inaugural address and Keynote address of the conference is to be delivered by the Minister of External Affairs Prof. G.L. Peiris.
Around 250 delegates from the Asia and Africa are expected to participate in the AALCO conference in Colombo.
Sri Lanka was a founder member of the AALCO established in 1956 and the 47- member organization provides a platform for member states to find common solutions in various fields of international law that would mutually benefit the member countries.
