The much-anticipated final round of Ranaviru Real Star, the premium reality program to showcase diverse aesthetic talents of the members of the Sri Lankan armed forces, came to an end yesterday (29) at the Sugatadasa Indoor Stadium under the auspices of President Mahinda Rajapaksa.

The Ranaviru Real Star trophy was bagged by Commander Damian Fernando of the Sri Lanka Navy. The winner and the four runners-up were awarded Presidential Scholarships to study music abroad, in addition to a host of attractive prizes.

The event was attended by First Lady Shiranthi Rajapaksa, Defence Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa, Hon. Speaker Chamal Rajapaksa, and many other distinguished guests including politicians, artists and officers in the armed forces.

Organized by the Ministry of Defence, Ranaviru Real Star is the first military reality show in the world.
