Senior armed forces officers conferred Vishista Seva Vibhushanaya

 
President Mahinda Rajapaksa recognized the exemplary service of senior officers in the three armed forces by conferring the Vishista Seva Vibhushanaya.

Thirty three senior officers of the Sri Lanka Army, Navy and the Air Force received Vishista Seva Vibhushana decorations at a ceremony held at last evening in the Presidential Secretariat.

The Vishista Seva Vibhushana is bestowed on officers who complete 25 years of outstanding service in the three Armed Forces and it is considered the highest military decoration that can be achieved in an officer's career.

Twelve officers of Sri Lanka Army, 13 officials of the Sri Lanka Navy and 08 officials of the Sri Lanka Air Force received this prestigious awards.
