CB issues $100m Development Bonds

 

The Central Bank on behalf of the Government, offered to issue US Dollar 100 million Sri Lanka Development Bonds (SLDBs) to eligible investor categories.

The offer is open from 13th June 2011 with the settlement on 29th June 2011.

Accordingly, US$ 50 million worth bonds will be offered on a 3 year tenure while another US$ 50 million will be offered on a 4 year tenure.

The interest rate of the offer would be 6 month LIBOR for US$ + Margin through competitive bidding.

Foreign Citizens and Entities, Non Resident Sri Lankans, Sri Lankan Dual Citizens, Authorized Dealers, Primary Dealers, specified companies entered into agreement with the Board of Investment of Sri Lanka and specifi¬ed Insurance Companies registered under the Regulation of Insurance Industry Act can subscribe to this SLDB.
