Special life saving team set up

 

The Health Ministry has set up a special life saving team to assist people during natural disasters and accidents.

This 100 member team has been assigned with the task of assisting the people who are affected by natural disasters. They are responsible for protecting the properties of the victims too.

This team selected from the National Youth Services Council has been provided a comprehensive training in life saving and rescue operations.

The members of this team will be on duty at main reservoirs in Polonnaruva and Anuradhapura during the Poson season.

This team will provide comprehensive training to 100 youths from every district on assisting injured people during times of accidents and natural disasters.
