State media institutions have recorded a significant increase in their profits in 2010, with the multiplication of Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation’s (SLRC) profits from Rs. 12 million to 42 million, the Lanka Business Online (LBO) reported, citing the Ministry of Finance.
Accordingly, SLRC's revenues have risen by 3 percent to Rs.1,930 million. The profits of Independent Television Network (ITN) station have increased by 66 percent to 308 million rupees.
Simultaneously, Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation (SLBC) has seen its profits going up from Rs. 38.3 million to 42.6 million, the LBO further reports.
