A Government Media School to be established

 
The government has planned to establish a Government Media School within the next two years to facilitate the media field.

A committee has been appointed to compile the proposal in this regard with experts in the field.

After the establishment of the media school media equipment and educational scholarships will be provided to journalists with the aim of receiving an efficient service from them.

This initiative proves the President’s dedication and interest to develop the media field, as mentioned in the Mahinda Chintana policy as well as in the Mahinda Chintana Future Vision policy, said Mass Media and Information Ministry Secretary W B Ganegala.
