The Government has taken measures to organize the next “Deyata Kirula” Exhibition in Oyamaduwa, Anuradhapura.

The Anuradhapura district has been selected as the venue for the 2012 National Exhibition as a tribute to the people in the district who suffered most from the LTTE terrorism.

In conjunction with the 2012 Exhibition, arrangements have been made to launch at least one major development project in each of the 22 Divisional Secretariat Divisions in the Anuradhapura District and in the Welioya Divisional Secretariat Division.

Under this, divisions of the Anuradhapura and the adjoining Welioya Divisional Secretariat will be launched from next Monday (11 July) at a cost of Rs.3, 000 million. In addition, roads from Mannar and Vavuniya to Anuradhapura will be developed.

Also, development weeks for each Divisional Secretariat Division will commence on July 11th. The first development week will be held in the Padaviya Divisional Secretariat Division from 11th to 17th of this month.

Simultaneously, mobile services represented by all government departments will also be available to solve problems faced by the people in the district. The first mobile service will be held on 16th and 17th of this month in the Padaviya Divisional Secretariat Division.
