His Eminence Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith called upon all Sri Lankans to rise with one voice before the international community to take the country forward on behalf of future generations.

He said that the media has a pivotal role in this effort to play as it is the human friendly way to create people to people contact between countries.

“Sri Lanka must rise with one voice before the international community to take the country forward for the benefit of our younger generation,” His Eminence Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith said.

The Cardinal made this observation when he received a group of media personnel at Bishop’s House Tuesday night.

Sri Lanka is subject to discussion at various international fora, this is the time the country needs the support of all its citizens to face this challenge with one clear voice.
The Sri Lankan media in this hour of need should be in forefront in order to disseminate true picture of Sri Lanka to the rest of the world.
