President Mahinda Rajapaksa declared open Ayurveda-EXPO 201, International Indigenous Healthcare Exhibition at BMICH this morning. The trade Fair and Symposium will be held from today to 17 July.
The three day international exhibition and symposium showcases and promotes Ayurvedic products and services. A large number of overseas exhibitors including China, Canada, Netherlands and UK and local and visitors are participating in the event.
The Exhibition is jointly organized by the National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka and Sri Lanka Export Development Board in association with Ministry of Indigenous Medicine, Ministry of Economic Development, Ministry of Industry & Commerce, Ministry of External Affairs, Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority & Tourist Promotion Bureau, and the National Gem & Jewellery Authority.
The exhibition will showcase various sectors - Yoga, Meditation, Wellness, Nature friendly health food, Acupuncture, Homeopathy etc., Beauty care products, and a host of other sectors connected with Ayurveda. There will also be a Symposium to be addressed by world renowned professionals.
The visitors will have the opportunity to know all about indigenous healthcare products, services, and treatment methods practiced in Sri Lanka and other countries.
