This was set up in Thirunelweli in Jaffna as a pilot project with financial and technical assistance from the Economic Development Ministry to develop milk productions in the peninsula.

Around 1000 families are benefited from this project as people from
adjoining Nallur, Kopai and other areas are selling milk daily to the factory thereby keeping the factory functioning successfully
