A new housing scheme, built for the benefit of civilians who were homeless as a result of the war was opened in Kankeyanodai Village, Manmunaipattu DS Division in the Batticaloa District recently.

The cost of the project is Rs.171 million.

The scheme includes 70 Housing units, mosque, Community and Health centre, Children’s Park and internal road network.
