Inspector General of Police N.K. Ilangakoon handed over a report on the attack on the Uthayan News Editor G. Kuganathan to President Mahinda Rajapaksa.

Further investigations on the assault were on, Director General of the President’s Media Division, Bandula Jayasekera said.

The news editor of the Jaffna-based Uthayan newspaper Gnanasundaram Kuganathan was assaulted by an unidentified group on July 29 while returning home after work.
