Artificial Limb Fitment Camp inaugurated 

 

The Jaipur Foot Artificial Limb Fitment Camp was inaugurated yesterday (Sep 5) by Governor of Northern Province G.A. Chandrasiri and Consul General of India in Jaffna V. Mahalingam, at Divisional Hospital, Kondavil, Jaffna.

As part of its assistance extended to Sri Lanka in addressing various challenges following the aftermath of the armed conflict in northern Sri Lanka, the Government of India organized the Camp that will serve the needy in the Northern Province.

The Camp will be held till 28 September, 2011, according to the Indian High Commission in Colombo.

About 500 patients have already been registered for treatment which is free of charge. Patients can receive the fitment service on the same day itself.

For the convenience of patients, bus services will be available from the Jaffna Bus Station to the Divisional Hospital, Kondavil.
