Five bridges connecting Trincomalee and Batticaloa will be completed before the end of this month.

This project of 99 kilometer long road development and the construction of five bridges will cost Rs.10, 500 million.

The bridges will be constructed in Upparu, Gangai, Ralkuli, Verukal and Kayankeni.
After the completion of this road with bridges, the present distance to travel between Trincomalee and Batticaloa will be reduced by 1000 metres.
