Palmyra Development Board has taken steps to plant 150,000 Palmyra seeds in the Jaffna District.

Accordingly, Palmyra seeds would be planted in the areas in Delft, Kayts, Velanai, Karainagar, Nallur, Sandelipai, Chankanai, Uduvil, Tellipalai, Kopay, Chavakachcheri, Karavetty, Point Pedro and Maruthankerni with the aim of developing Palmyra products.
In line with this, the Government has taken steps to increase the profits in the self-employment and Palmyra related work.
