Construction of houses of another village under the ‘Jana Sevana’ programme commenced today (Sep. 26) in Neeththagama Damana in Amparafor the benefit of low income and homeless families.

Under this project, 58 families who do not have houses with be provided with housing, at a cost of Rs.68 00000.

Implemented by the Ministry of Construction, Engineering Services, Housing and Common Amenities, this project is expected to be completed in six months.

The Government aims to construct one million houses within six years under the ‘Jana Sevana’ programme.
