Exhibition on Jaffna’s history & heritage

An exhibition entitled ‘Lifestyles of Jaffna, a First of Its Kind’ is being held from September 24 to 27 at the Faculty of Arts, University of Jaffna.

Organized by the Department of History, University of Jaffna, this exhibition intends to provide valuable insights into the history and heritage of Jaffna. It showcases many salient facts about the ancient people of the Jaffna Peninsula, their housing traditions as well as lifestyles.

Many of the exhibits that include tools, sculptures symbols, and images have been collected by the students of the Jaffna University from various parts of the Jaffna Peninsula.

Relics discovered by archaeological excavations are on display while a periodical history is captured by a good collection of photography.
