Another 1930 housing units for underserved settlements in Colombo

 

The Government has decided to launch three housing development programmes for underserved settlements in Colombo and adjoining areas.

Accordingly, the construction of 384 housing units at a total cost of Rs. 960 million, 1000 units at a total cost of Rs.2500 million, and 550 housing units at a total cost of Rs.1375 million at locations identified by the Urban Development Authority will be undertaken.

Up to now, five low-income housing projects have been approved by the Government. 14,398 housing units are to be constructed under these projects.
