Applewatta, Somaliyawawatta, Modara, Wellawatta and Wajiraramaya were the areas that came under the President’s observation. He was warmly welcomed by the people living in those areas.

The Government expects to provide people with low-quality housing facilities with better housing without evacuating them from their current places, the President has pledged.

Concurrently, the Government has taken measures to make Colombo a beautiful city: a city of excellence under the directions of the President.
