Jana Sevana village in Irattaperiyakulam

 

Construction of houses for another village under the ‘Jana Sevana’ programme commenced today (Nov. 2) Veragama, Irattaperiyakulam in Vavuniya.

Under this, 111 houses will be constructed at a cost of Rs.50 million to benefit public servants who don’t have permanent houses in the area. Constructions of these houses will be completed in six months.

The Ministry earlier initiated construction of another village for 640 public servants in Omanthai, Cheppamkullam in Vavuniya.

The Government aims to construct one million houses within six years under the ‘Jana Sevana’ programme which is carried out by the Ministry of Construction, Engineering Services, Housing and Common Amenities.
