Freedom Speaks premiered

Freedom Speaks, an investigative documentary, produced by a group of young enthusiasts of the Sri Lankan film industry, was premiered at the Taranganie Hall of the Sri Lanka Film Corporation on Tuesday (Nov 01) with the participation of Secretary Defence Gotabaya Rajapaksa.

Directed by Suneth Malinga Lokuhewa, based on witnesses of the conflict, this investigative documentary reveals untold harrowing experiences of terrorism endured by innocent Tamil people whose lives were under the clutches of the LTTE terrorism three decades.

"The remarkable fact is that every source is identified and authenticated to lend credibility to their stories. The documentary sends a message loud and clear to the targeted western audiences", said leading lawyer Gomin Dayasri delivering the key note address.

"Freedom Speaks is for the ignorant world that unknowingly supported terrorism in Sri Lanka. It is against malicious lies spread around the world about our country by vicious individuals and organizations wanting us back in war", said Director Suneth Malinga delivering the introductory speech at the event.

The 39 minute documentary was screened in the presence of a distinguished gathering including foreign dignitaries, media personnel and NGO representatives.
